Jax Bucket List.

Happy Fridaaay world!!

Well, I've been exploring quite a bit (online) for new, fun family things to do around here. We're still pretty new to Jacksonville, think going on 5 months already! Crazy, definitely feels longer. And soo my sweet mother in law inspired me to start a little Jax section on here! You know for all the other newbies in town, lol why not right? Usually on our weekends, we're either at the pool, the beach, the arcades, St.Augustine, or hanging in Nsb for the weekend. We try to switch it up but honestly, we're content with our simple weekend hangouts. Sooo I made a little bucket list of different places, restaurants and things we would like to try out soon in the local Jax areas. Hopefully someone will find this helpful as well, especially when your at home and want to get out and try something different:)
1. M.O.S.H- Cool kids museum and $5 Fridays!

2. (This one isn't in the Jax area, few hours away but would be fun to check out!) Buccaneer Bay @ Weeki Wachee Springs $13-Adults, 6 and up- $8, 5 and under-Free. They have Mermaids, reptile shows, riverboat rides and of course their water park!

3. The Candy Apple Café&Cocktails- for those mom night outs or even date nights.

4. Creative Grain Studio- decorative wooden signs, make great gifts or home décor!

5. Mickler's Landing- this won't disappoint :)

6. Or rather do a date night? Check out NowandZenSailing for sunset cruises. (Day cruises available)

7. Jacksonville Landing/Live music/Fireworks!

8. Food truck events! There's always a lot going on over here that we want to check out soon.

9. Cummer Museum of Arts&Gardens

10. See the Jaguars Practice-FREEE

11.Seawalk Pavillion/Jax Beach

12. Almost forgot Riverside Arts Market, every Saturday from 10am-4pm. Bring your dogs, kids, friends and fam . Variety of local shops, foods, and live music right on the river.

13. If you've never heard of Ponte Vedra, go check it out. Beautiful beaches, beautiful everything. I personally like to go there to look at the gorgeous homes and get inspired a little. The beaches feel a bit more private at times, and its fun hanging out by the beach club! Everyone stays out even when the sun is down and just sits around a bonfire with good music and wine :) I took my mom's puppy out here one Friday night, Elijah and I practiced some catch while she ran around chasing us, it was the perfect night out!

14.Nocatee is near Ponte Vedra but if your ever interested in buying a new home, condo, townhouse they have it all. Or if your like us and just like to drive around and go see open house models then go take a drive. One day we would like to get a home there for sure. Really nice, low key community, check it out please if you haven't ! My favorite is their clubhouse/pool and lazy river :)

15. Authentic food around:
~Antojitos Colomnianos
~Nile Ethiopian Restaurant (I heard the fried sambusas and injera bread is really good here!)
~Bowl of Pho or Sala Thai and heard to try their frog legs. Uhhh don't know about that one hahaa.
~Tapas Old World (Spain)
~Siena's Restaurant (Europe)
~Ceviche (Peruvian) - heard their shrimp ceviche is awesome!
~There's also this restaurant near our house called Puerto Rico I believe, which we can't wait to try out ! And down the road from there (around 5 points/Riverside) is a French Restaurant that is always packed, I'm sure it is good! And speaking of French, a friend from work told me 'The French Pantry' is the best place in town, and that people will wait hours for a table! So this is another one on our bucket list for sure.)

And that's it for now! Will definitely be adding some more monthly. Also, please share if you know or come across family/date night fun spots in the Jax area, thx! :)
