December Memories

Today seemed like a good day to share some stuff that was suppose to be up for the 'Write everyday in December Challenge.'

Some highlights:
Christmas was FUN. My mom, sisters and even my lil brother (Alex) came down!! My mom also brought her moody dog/shitzu, Elsa. She was completely nervous leaving her out in the house, since she believed Zara wanted to eat her. (C'mon mom, really?)

Nothing really went according to plan. We wanted to go to the beach on Christmas day. Once we arrived, it poured. But the beach was still pretty amazing! Elijah brought his soccer and football along,so we played for a bit before the rain really came down. There were even people out horse back riding! And the day after xmas, everyone wanted to go to Top Golf. The wait was over 6 hours!! We went to diff't bowling alleys/arcades, everything was completely jam packed. 'Till we eventually found one. And to think we almost gave up to go home and just watch more movies!

Speaking of packed...our home sure was. Considering we live in a 2 bed/2 bath condo, we made it work though (thank goodness for Elijah's bunk bed.) Plus we love when the house is like that anyways :) It was never quiet/calm with the dogs, the kids, etc. But that's us, that's our family. We all played plenty of games like family feud (that one was interesting bahaa),the jenga game, etc. Dylan's parents, grandmother and his younger brother were also over majority of the time, plus their dog Luna (mom also thought she wanted to eat Elsa.) At one point, the kids were playing football in the house. Kayla threw it so hard,it hit one of the candles that had a ton of fresh (red) candle wax in there. Which splattered right onto our fairly new sofa. Go figure. BUT None of us freaked out. (Well, my sister did and so she ran to the bathroom crying.) We just wanted to figure out how to get it all off asap. Long story short, there's still some stains..but it's all good. Can hardly even notice it now! Unfortunately it didn't end there.Since Kayla was upset for spilling the wax, about 10 minutes later we hear her screaming ' Ashleighhhh, come here now pleaseeee!' I guess she knew not to yell for mom? We will never know how it all really happened, lol. All we know is she had superglue on her hands which were stuck to her forehead!! (And some around her right eye.) The story was she wanted to just add some designs on her nails...well, next thing she knew the super glue had an exploding episode. And IF you know our Mom...she went off of course. Ashleigh was nervous about it not coming off,and I was trying not to lose it, lol.  Luckily, it wasn't that severe, no ambulance or 911  needed this time. What would we do without Google right??

Hmm...Only this kind of stuff happens in our family I think??

Overall though, we laughed hard everyday, and  had some kind of crazy adventure. Whether it was at home or some place else. One things for sure, its a Christmas we'll always cherish ! :)
