EJ is FOUR today!!!

     My baby is growing up sooo fast, how 4 years just flies! I feel like we were at home yesterday   taking photos when he was only a few months old. He's so independent now and really is a little grown man at times.

     He wasn't too thrilled to have pictures taken of him. Every time I'd say 'look here' he would run the other way. For months he's been so excited telling me 'Mommy, i'll be 4 on October 13th and so I want a ninja turtle party please'. He just isn't crazy about everyone showing him birthday attention and snapping pics. I think he did an awesome job choosing his theme and cake though :)

      Is it obvious my son had a small finger sampling before we sang happy birthday?

It was a good day, and just happy Ej& the kids enjoyed it...Happy Birthday pumpkin! :)

Paint me Blue.

Ok so before reading this,just know I think there is nothing wrong with brown dressers/furniture at allll. I love that look, so much you can really do with it.But in our house just think there's brown goin on a little bit everywhere,we needed a pop of color somewhere...

Sooo today I happened to randomly pass by some sample paints at Target & it got me in the mood to finally tackle this project. (We have a dresser in our room&the other in the Closet). YESS, Dylan has aloooot of tees laying around). So we made that dresser dedicated just for that. I've gotten tired looking at the plain ol brown tho&had to throw some color on it. I was in the mood to give it a distress/worn out look,it's a bit all over the place but def happy with it! I usually sand &prime before,but completely skipped that + just went for the fun part. (although this paint had the primer in it) It brings somewhat of an ocean feel to us :) We even put our handprints on top to add a personal touch. (Elijah hates messes but he actually had fun with this small project).  He wanted us to write our names so we did, but we may have to redo that part over maybe with some white paint? :) I was also going to get diff't knobs for it,but liked the look of the swirls once they were painted. Still have to go find a couple of items to change out the top decor some, but so far this is the final piece... (It may look slightly diff't in some of the pics from the lighting,but definitely is a bright pop of blue).& The best part?? It was all done within 1 1/2 hrs annnnd was dried literally under one. (!!!)

This happens to other moms too, right?

I don't know what's been going on with me&Elijah's sleep routine,but today is the 3rd day in a row we've slept in till nearly 10:30ish. I plan on doing some grocery shopping today since we're out of breakfast stuff,lunch,etc. All we've been eating is healthy organic things mostly,not eating out much. Personally I feel better,more energized and even Dylan too. Today was opposite. [maybe this whole week so far] Figured we would drive down to the closest spot [Burger King] to grab something quick, thinking we'll get some breakfast. It was already over by the time we pulled up. Elijah wanted only some nuggets and chocolate milk.I didn't even think till after the fact to just go to the grocery store &buy some breakfast. [considering Publix is right next to us].I kinda feel like a bad mom today! I know it's not that serious,it's not a daily thing but still..Ugh.I'm bothered,LOL.Then after seeing donuts were nearby,I was all about it. So yeah,I gave in to the Krispy Kreme today.Lets hope lunch and dinner goes better:)
